Sizzling sun and soaring sheep sales at Thame’s 2016 Annual Sheep Fair
August 4th & 5th saw the annual Thame Sheep fair take place on the Thame showground and the County Insurance team were out in high numbers welcoming clients and guests onto their stand.
The two day event saw over 20,000 head of sheep sold – one of the largest sales of its kind in the UK.
County Insurance’s stand offered hot food and refreshments to visitors and the chance to meet many of the farming team and two competitions to win prizes.
Having attended the show since it’s beginning, Tim Sydenham, County Insurance director said: “It was great to see such a high turnout, especially on the second day, for such a highlight in the sheep farming calendar.”
He added: “We’re so pleased to welcome clients old and new on to the stand; this year’s hot lamb and hot pork rolls went down a treat.”
One of the competition winners, George Morris, has been a customer of County’s for many years.
On the event, his wife tweeted:

Clients had the chance to meet many of County’s farming staff and their claims manager Tracey Collen.
Tracey, who specialises in agricultural claims, said: “Shows like this really give us the chance to show clients we’re not just sat behind desks; we’re active and very engaged in the local farming community.”
She added: “We’re proud to be associated with the local auction market and we recognise it’s value to our clients”.
