The Serene South Downs, A Sudden Downpour and Silverside; another great Heathfield Show

On Saturday May 27th members of County Insurance Service’s Out in the Field Team, including Tim Sydenham, Tracey Collen and Chris Blackburn attended the 70th Annual Heathfield Show. Sussex’s premier agricultural event, over 15,000 were drawn to the showcase of local farming and rural life; a sudden downpour didn’t stop the show!

New for 2017, County offered a ‘Guess the cut’ competition as well as the regular prize draw and light refreshments.

As it was Heathfield’s 70th anniversary, County commissioned a 70th birthday cake to be cut on the day by past and current presidents and their spouses (pictures below)

Twitter highlights from the day include:

Tracey Collen, County’s claims manager and shows organiser, said: “We’ve had such a warm and welcome reception for our second year at Heathfield. Everyone who came onto or stand was very complimentary of our presence at the show and enjoyed meet our Out in the Field Team”

“Although it was rather windy, the prosecco flowed and there were very few crumbs of the cake left! A true summer fete of blazers, bowler hats and bucks fizz”

She added: “As the key sponsor of the New Enterprise Zone too, it was great to meet new and upcoming local businesses, many of which appreciated our support and guidance in their insurance needs”

Later in the day County’s stand also hosted a modern ballet performance from a performer at the East Sussex Dance Studio, from the NEZ.

County are looking forward to next year’s show, with a date to be announced shortly.
