Photographic equipment insurance – all risk cover for non-professional photographers

Photography is an enjoyable pursuit but it can also be expensive. Whether it’s just a hobby or you generate income from your work, it’s vital that you protect your equipment. A photographic equipment insurance policy will cover you for damage, theft and loss.

Comprehensive cover for your photography equipment

Our tailored photographic insurance policy is extremely comprehensive and is therefore highly regarded within the photographic industry. The policy provides cover against accidental loss, damage, destruction or theft. It covers any make or model of camera, lens, flashgun, photographic accessories and associated equipment; including camcorders, binoculars, telescopes, audio recorders and laptop computers.

Annual premiums start at just £95 for £3,000 cover.

Cover outside the UK

If you take your equipment outside the UK, this policy will protect it. It is covered for up to 60 days at any one time (geographical exclusions apply).

Personal liability cover

Our standard photographic equipment insurance policy provides up to £1,000,000 of personal liability cover. This will protect you if you are legally responsible for the injury or death of a third party, whilst using your insured equipment in a public place.

To qualify for this policy you must earn less than half of your annual income from photographic activities. To ensure that your equipment is fully protected it is important that you correctly detail all items of equipment on your policy schedule and our team are here to help. The majority of quotations can be dealt with over the phone and our in-house underwriters will issue your policy without delay.

Settling a claim

In the event of a claim, our in-house claims team will ensure that your case is managed smoothly and effectively from beginning to end. As the underwriters of the policy we aim to assist you in getting claims settled promptly.
